“My aspiration is to elevate and enhance our world by creating great places for people to use and enjoy—for an improved quality of life.”
Grounded by a multi-generation connection to the Inland Northwest, Dan’s deep sense of belonging roots his practice of architecture in the desire to create welcoming places that positively impact people and communities. His approach is both personal and purposeful—shaped by place, informed by experience, and guided by a deep respect for those who inhabit the environments he helps create.
His interest in design started early, sparked by attending a ‘design camp’ in middle school that opened his eyes to the potential of turning dreams, ideas, and desires into physical reality. This experience ignited a lifelong passion for architecture as a tool for positive change—a way to shape the world with intention and imagination.
Dan inspires a collaborative spirit among building owners, users, and consultant teams. He excels at guiding project teams to integrate complex and often conflicting ideas and priorities for outcomes that exceed expectations. For the Northern Quest River Tower Hotel, he led a diverse team of stakeholders through problem solving on a fast-paced schedule to deliver meaningful integration of cultural story, spirit of place, and carefully crafted construction.
