The U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad, India, has won an AIA Architecture Award!

An AIA Architecture Award recognizes the best contemporary architecture regardless of budget, size, style, or type.

Designed with Integrus as Architect-of-Record in association with Richard | Kennedy Architects for the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), the Hyderabad Consulate General campus features modern buildings embodying the vibrant fusion of diplomacy, sustainability, and cultural sensitivity to support the mission of the U.S. Department of State.

The design process was guided by a deep respect for local culture and heritage, while ensuring functionality and security. Buildings harmoniously integrate with the rich legacy of the historic surroundings, set against a dynamic landscape characterized by rocky formations on a steep slope. intricate perforated brass latticework, use of local stone, native wood, textiles and indigo hues that honor local craftsmanship and traditions.

The consulate stands as a symbol of U.S. commitment to mutual understanding and partnership ensuring a safe, secure, and inspiring environment for both visitors and staff.
