PROJECT DETAILS
Adjacent to a high school, the CTE center is designed to attract and encourage local youth to consider careers in industrial electronics, information technology, CNC machining, auto mechanics, HVACR, and engineering technology. A unique collaboration between the college, Lewiston School District, and City of Lewiston, this three-story facility bridges valuable technical education and local industry.
The building combines traditional steel construction with pre-engineered systems in an efficient organization that anticipates future expansion. The building orientation, scale and entry highlight views of the rural surroundings and maximize the College’s presence on this off-campus site. Construction assemblies and building systems are left exposed, allowing the building to become a living learning tool for students, while views into the shops and learning spaces highlight career possibilities and student experiences.
