Office renovation transforming existing office space into an open, dynamic work environment showcasing the progressive company’s commitment to sustainability. Natural daylighting and energy efficient strategies contribute to a vibrant, healthy work environment supporting recruitment efforts and reduced energy expenses.
Inspired by the idea of a treehouse, design incorporates natural light and use of natural materials for “wow moments” connecting interiors to the tree canopy directly outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. User-controlled lighting systems reduce energy use. Vivid color blocking, graphic glazing, and reclaimed oak flooring connect both levels of the office. The space features a combination of open and enclosed office and meeting spaces with a flexible sliding glass wall system that can double the size of the lobby for large gatherings.
The company’s environmentally minded values are embodied in the engaging and efficient office environment. The overall effect is a modern, clean and open office, with clear visual connections among spaces delineated by geometry, pattern and color. Energy consumption is reduced to 88% less than required by code, meeting goals for improved energy performance and cost savings. Following renovation, the company grew exponentially.
